Nelly's Cottage & Alice's Cottage are set in the heart of Weardale with panoramic views over the dale. Situated on a working hill farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a small herd of Hereford cattle.

This part of Weardale is famous for it birds and wild flowers, butterflies in the summer months - well worth a visit. Easy access to the lakes, Hadrian's Wall, Beamish, Hexham and Durham.

Midway between Alston and Stanhope on the A689.
