Mousehole is a picturesque village clustered around a harbour and is a maze of granite and slate houses and cottages, narrow winding streets and cobbled alleyways.  Within the harbour are two sandy beaches.  The village also has two larger pebble beaches with rocks and rock pools.

Mousehole has several small shops including a newsagents, grocers and post office.  It also has a selection of craft and gift shops and a small art gallery.  There is a choice of tearooms, restaurants and a fish and chip shop and two pubs.  There is also a chapel and a famous hospital for wild birds.  If you plan to visit Mousehole during Christmas or New Year, there is a spectacular and world famous display of Christmas lights in and around the village.

Bay View (left, with blue front door) is an imposing house situated immediately on the harbourside in Mousehole, just a few feet away from the water's edge. There are stunning and uninterrupted sea views from the tastefully decorated kitchen (recently refurbished), lounge and each of the three bedrooms across the harbour and Mount's Bay towards St Michael's Mount and the Lizard Peninsular.

  • Bayview Cottage has fitted kitchen with electric cooker, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, iron/ironing board, cafeteria as well as a comprehensive range of equipment and utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
  • The lounge has a comfortable suite with a colour TV and DVD.
  • The bedrooms are pretty with co-ordinating bedding and accessories and there is a shower room with electric shower, toilet and basin.
  • There is storage heating in the cottage, together with electric fires and oil filled radiators.
  • Beds have duvets and pillows and can be made up ready for your arrival. Towels and tea towels can be provided if required. 
  • Bed linen can be provided for a small charge.
  • Item’s of baby equipment such as cot (cot bedding not supplied), high chair or baby bath can be provided if requested.
  • The cottage has a folder containing comprehensive brochures and leaflets on Mousehole, and the surrounding area. If you do not feel like walking the coastal footpaths or visiting local attractions such as the Eden Project (less than 1 hour drive away) or the unique Minack Open Air Theatre.
  • Supply of books and games provided. 
  • Electricity is payable by coin metre or metre reading at the end of your stay
